my story all started when i was 15 about to turn 16 i met a boy that was the most handsome,sweetest,and funniest guy you will ever meet and he was 17about to turn 18 at the time and we started dating we were an interracial couple (he is white and I'm mixed of black and white but i consider myself black)and people always would say that we were cute together and that motivated me to stay with him even more our relationship was going pretty good but when i was 16 and moved in with him for the summer he started to get really jealous and controlling and wouldn't let me have friends especially if they were boys once he saw me talking to my cousin and his friends and he came and grabbed me when we got home he started yelling at me saying that i would rather be with those boys than him because those boys were black and he is white i got really mad that he was playing the race card on me and told him that the boys i was talking to were my cousin and his friends and that cooled him down a little but after that he got more and more jealous and controlling and he became verbally and emotionally abusive we started fighting a lot and he started yelling at me all the time and when i started crying he would tell me to shut up and start calling me names i couldn't take it any more the guy who i thought to be funny,kind, and handsome turned into a nothing but a whole lot of ugly so i told him that i was going to move back with my parents and he begged me to stay saying that he will change so me and my dumb self believed him and stayed but the fighting and the yelling went on one day we were fighting about something and he got super mad and hit me that got me really upset so i stood up and hit him back and that was a mistake because then he started to beat me up he grabbed me by my hair and slammed my head on the wall then he started to choking me and i tried to run upstairs into the rooms but he was a football pla yer so he was very fast and he caught up to me and grabbed my ankle and started dragging me down the stairs by the time he was done i had bruises everywhere of my body and at night i would sleep at the far end of the bed to stay away from him but he would then pull me towards him and when i try to break free he would start saying that he was sorry for hurting me that he only did it because he loved me but he kept on beating and yelling at me and at the end of the night he would say the same stupid thing there were days when he was really nice and days when he was very mean it became our anniversary and he took me out to eat and took me shopping and for little bit i thought he changed at the end of the day i was very happy that we got along for our anniversary at the end of the night we watched a movie together when we got to bed the problem started he grabbed me and he started touching me i told him to stop because i was really tired but he continued the next thing i knew he was climbing on top of me trying to take off my clothes i told him to quit and he said “what your 16 you don't want to be a virgin forever do you” and i said “no but i want to go to sleep right now” and he said “don't worry this will be quick” and he continued to take off my clothes i started to say no but he told me to shut up that he spent a whole lot of money on me that day so i owed him something once he pulled down my underwear he shoved himself in me and i started crying this went on for an hour when he was done there were blood on the sheets and he told me to go wash them while he takes a shower i was really mad and wanted to kill him but i got that thought out of my head the physical,emotional, and sexual abuse went on for 3 more years until i build enough courage to leave him I'm 22 years old right now and the only people i told about this was my best friend and my sister and this is the third time telling my story I'm in a relationship right now but i haven't told my boyfriend what had happened to yet because I'm scared to tell him I'm of what he might think of me
